This Is Possible.

‘Sabotage Machine’ article kicks off Corbyn drama fundraising drive.

If 3286 people buy the long read, the A Very British Sabotage drama will get made.

(For more details on the drama itself, click here)

Over the last few days I’ve gone from ‘Oh, shit I’m signing on’, to ‘Hang on a sec, this might be possible!’

It’s only been a three days since I published the ‘Sabotage Machine’ long read, but it is already clear that YOU GUYS want this project to succeed and that fundraising is a pathway that should see A Very British Sabotage get made next spring.

Since the long read was published on Monday we’ve already raised £337.55 (from only 520 page views!). That £ might sound like a fraction compared to the £40k needed to see A Very British Sabotage made, but the truth is that most people who would like to hear this drama haven’t heard about it yet. The stats tell me that when people see this, they are interested, and that is a huge morale boost to me and a massive vote of confidence in AVBS. So, thank you.

Incredibly, the average purchase price of The Sabotage Machine article is just over £12. That is despite the fact the long read is on sale for £5 or £10 (which gets you either eps 1-4 or eps 1-11 of the drama).

At this rate, we only need 3286 people to buy the long read / radio drama combo for the production to be secure.

Thank you again and please share this post to anyone you think would be interested in this project.

If you haven’t already, please take a look at The Labour Party Sabotage Machine article below, and help get the A Very British Sabotage drama made.

This link takes you away from Marximum Volume and over to Gumroad to purchase the long read.

The long read contains analysis of 11,386 messages exchanged between former Labour Party and LOTO spokesperson Matt Zarb-Cousin and 318 journalists, including the Westminster Lobby, over a 10-month period in 2016. Supplementing that data is over 45 hours of interviews conducted by me in preparation for a radio drama I am writing / producing about the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn. By buying this long read you help finance the drama’s production.
